Design Element Nine

Interior designers use design elements to add color and contrast and dress a room up a bit. When you are in bed looking out at this view, you want something simple that adds to the room and does not restrict your view. A low chair, a vase with dried flowers and a slender lamp accomplish all of these requirements easily in this room with a view.

Our interior designers use prints and portraits to dress up a wall along with colored throw pillows on a couch. The print in this room has all of the colors of the room and the three pillows provide solid contrasting colors against the white leather couch.

Mirrors are often a favorite design element for many interior designers. As you can see in this picture, the mirror at this make up counter is practical as well as helping to enlarge the look and feel of the room and reflects other design elements in the room!

A simple half moon glass table with a few small plants to add variety can dress up an otherwise drab hallway. Using half moon tables in smaller areas easily dress up a room without taking too much space. A wall mirror adds the sensation of space to the area as well.
