Designer Carlo Rampazzi decorated an interior in white and blue colors, with dominance of marine motifs for his client from Miami. It’s a real mermaid’s home.
Once designer Carlo Rampazzi had a call from the client, who was thinking of buying an apartment in Miami. But she would do so only if Rampazzi took up its interior design. Anyway, the designer was in Miami for another project, so he agreed to look at the house, and htne finally said “yes.”

Carlo Rampazzi
Carlo Rampazzi has a rich portfolio. He has collaborated with Colombostile, designed the interiors of the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz and many other hotels, done a lot of private projects. A few years ago, together with the artist Sergio Villa he launched his own brand Carlo Rampazzi & Sergio Villa.

No matter what Rampazzi designs, he always tries to show ordinary things in an unexpected light. So crazy leopard chair with feathers, fur dishes for fruits and tables with legs in the form of a bulldog are only a few outcomes of his creativity.

In his personal life, Carlo Rampazzi has a reputation of an extravagant personality, too – he can easily come to a reception, wearing slippers instead of patent leather shoes, and he builds a New Year tree from teddy bears.
The designer considers this outrageous manifestation a display of individuality. After all, he says that the true luxury is not the price or a brand, but the ability to stand out from the crowd and undergo metamorphosis without losing the charm.

Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis of the project in Miami began with the fact that Rampazzi cleared the space to make the emphasis on light and color. The planning of this duplex is simple: on the first floor there is the dining room, combined with the living room. On the second – two bedrooms with cloakrooms and bathrooms.

Another thing is the decor – there Rampazzi unleashed his unrestrained imagination. He fantasized on the subject of the ocean, particularly since that it is just outside the windows. Ceilings and walls are glowing with mother of pearl, and the furniture was painted in glossy white and blue shades
On the bed the designer threw blankets and pillows of his beloved silver color, and on the wall hung a framed mirror, studded with rhinestones.

Ceilings almost throughout the whole interior are covered with Venetian plaster – so light is reflected the best way. On some walls wallpaper with a pattern in the style of op art, that look like waves of the sea, are used, others are painted with intricate patterns also in the sea theme. Most of the furniture is authentic and made according to the designer’s sketches.

As a result of the Rampazzi’s efforts an ordinary apartment began to look like a luxurious, shining with pearl, seashell. Mermaids and undines would love to live there.

Or the same reckless people like the designer himself. Obviously, the client of Rampazzi belongs to the latter, because she is delighted with her new home.
British supermodel Kate Moss took up interior design. She was invited to debut in the new role by Yoo, the studio of Philippe Starck and John Hitchcox, who are known with the collaborations with Marcel Wanders, Kelly Hoppen and Jade Jagger. Androgynous star of the ‘90s, muse of designers and fashion photographers, brawler and one […]
