The challenge here was to work around and incorporate the existing marble and finishes, all the while coordinating a cool color scheme of mixing the old with the new. We added white glass tiles, white Thasso and wood features including wood columns. The main lobby was outfitted with exotic cherry wood panels that were custom designed, revealing a jigsaw effect. The look was modern and luxurious and had the “wow” factor. Three-dimensional panels were utilized to create the concierge desk with a backdrop of cool green glass panels. The hallways were also transformed into warm and inviting spaces by adding fusion of color and by changing the wallpaper, sconces and carpeting. A club/social room was also realized into a sporty casual respite with durable leather seating.
The task at hand was to update and redefine the look to reflect the modern day lifestyle of this 1990 Miami Beach condominium so as to have a more relevant, up-to-date and keeping with the state-of-the-art around the area of the beach.
