Call this a sanctuary in the Grove. Thriving plant life and trees, including an orchid garden, surrounds the home, thus allowing the view in with the custom ceiling-to-floor window panels that were put in. Sculptural wooden chairs adorn a central sitting area where two solid slabs of marble serve as unconventionally low cocktail tables. This low profile keeps the views unobstructed. Furniture was obtained from brands such as B&B Italia, Morosso, Zanotta, Sawaya & Moroni, and Cappellini. Custom art for the home was also acquired.
This home was to be more like a relaxing retreat with minimal design, ultra-cool seating and clear open spaces. Walls were removed to establish and bring to fruition an open space plan and also one that would invite the outside in.
